SOM ENgineer (Ericsson)

Position: SOM ENgineer

Contract Duration: 2 months extendable based on client requirement

Key responsibilities:

• Provide operational support to field teams across Central, western, & eastern regio who are tasked to integrate new transmission equipment and systems. Plan, execute, manage and verify customer cutovers.
• Interpret design packs for customer sights and implement logical designs whist coordinating with Field Teams
• Establish all 2G end-to-end Abis, A and Gb transmission services.
• Establish all 3G end-to-end Iub, IuCS, IuPS and Iur transmission services.
• MLTN Ethernet configuration
• Coordinate rollbacks where required
• Liaise with other integration centres(local & GSC)
• Perform quality control checks in the network
• Load scripts into Ericsson MV36/38, Ericsson DXX, Huawei U2000, ALU TNMS and any other transmission NEs as required.
• Perform NMS visibility checks for both pre and post implementation of links
• Update detailed designs as required

• Making SOPs for various functionalities of newly installed nodes.
• Troubleshooting any technical or operational gliches in the performance of network
• Operation and Maintenance of Huawei IN nodes (SCP, SMP, CRBT, ATAE, USAU, EVC, VC, AIP, GFEP)
• Scripts optimization on AIX Unix, Sun Solaris & OpenVMS
• Operations and Maintenance of Logica-Acision VAS nodes (SMSC, PSA, BT)
